Born in Buenos Aires as Fabio Iastrebner, but better known to the world as Fatty since his teenage years. His life changed when he won an advertising contest about HIV awareness organized by América TV, an Argentine television channel, earning a scholarship to study film at the New York Film Academy.
Fatty has nearly 20 years of experience in advertising. He began his career as a casting director and assistant to renowned Argentine directors.
He studied film, theater, and screenwriting. Since 2004, he has directed over 300 commercials for brands such as Speedy, Purina, Coca-Cola, McDonald’s, Unilever, Pepsi, Barcel, Mondelez, and Danone, among many others. His work has earned him awards at festivals such as El Ojo, Diente, FIAP, El Sol, the Martín Fierro Awards, and the Lápiz de Platino for the “La Abuela” campaign for Speedy.
He is passionate about humor, comedy, storytelling, cinematography, and working with actors, children, and celebrities. A lover of cinema, series, and documentaries, he also enjoys the challenge of working with people who are not accustomed to acting, excelling in finding natural performances, particularly with athletes.
